What to Bring With You

This adventure takes place outdoors over two days, including a night spent camping under a tarp, so please come prepared for changing weather conditions. The list below is a helpful guide to make your experience comfortable and enjoyable.

Camping Gear

  • Enough clean and dry clothing for your full 2-day stay

  • At least one full set of dry clothes kept in your vehicle (essential in case your kit gets soaked)

  • Sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and a warm woolly hat for the evening

  • A warm jacket or coat for night-time

  • Torch and basic wash kit

  • Optional: You may bring your own tent if you prefer

Clothing

  • Waterproof, comfortable footwear (wellies, walking boots, or any shoes you don’t mind getting muddy)

  • Comfortable trousers

    • Avoid denim if possible—once wet it becomes cold, heavy, and slow to dry

  • Long-sleeved tops and trousers to help prevent insect bites

  • Warm layers (shirts, hoodies, jumpers, coat) to stay comfortable in the evening

  • Peak cap or hat—helpful for shooting

  • Waterproof jacket and trousers if you have them, or at least a reliable jacket and umbrella

  • Avoid excessive jewellery (large rings, necklaces, etc.) as these can restrict movement and affect safe rifle handling

  • NO alcohol before activities

  • Don’t forget a camera! (Yes, it’s worth mentioning twice!)

Food & Self-Catering

Please bring food for:

  • 2 lunches

  • 1 evening meal

  • 1 breakfast

  • Plus any snacks and drinks you’d like throughout the adventure

We will provide pots, pans, plates, cups, and cutlery, along with tea, coffee, milk, and fresh water throughout the weekend.

Cooking on an Open Fire

The three simple ways to cook outdoors are:

IN the fire – boiling pans, jacket potatoes
ON the fire – frying
OVER the fire – toasting

Choose foods that are quick to prepare and require minimal pots.

These are only guidelines to help you plan easily and simply.
